1. Payment of BWFAC membership fees, or any other appropriate fee (eg Guest, Tournament entry, or Training Course fee) will be regarded as acceptance of the BWFAC rules, regulations and shooting guidelines.
2. All BWFAC members are to be fully paid up members of the NFAS. New members are to be permitted a maximum of four shooting sessions as a BWFAC guest after which full membership of the BWFAC and the NFAS will be required.
3. Guest Archers must be proven/known competent archers, and, because of insurance requirements, must be notified of in advance of shooting to the Secretary. A fee, as set by the Committee, is payable by guests per session to cover them with the BWFAC NFAS insurance.
4. New members must prove to a Committee member or their designated representative of their competence to shoot safely before they are accepted to membership of BWFAC. This will be by successful completion of a BWFAC Training Course and/or personal assessment, as applicable.
5. The BWFAC reserve the right to refuse membership without giving reasons.
6. The BWFAC is open for the practice of Field Archery between 0.800 and 22.00 on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, together with one evening per week (currently Wednesdays).
7. The Field Officer, his appointed representative, or any Committee member, has the right to order the instant suspension of any member or guest found to be in breach of BWFAC rules, regulations and guidelines, or who is found to be acting in a manner unsuitable for a family club. The suspension being in force pending a decision on the incident by the Committee, who have the power to levy an appropriate penalty, which may include permanent exclusion from membership, with no reimbursement of subscriptions.
8. All Members, Guests or other parties are responsible for their own safety while on BWFAC grounds, and must also make every effort to ensure the safety of others. It is very strongly recommended that, due to the remote location of BWFAC, you inform a third party of your whereabouts and carry an operational mobile phone when attending the BWFAC.
9. The BWFAC and/or the Committee cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to any personal equipment, property or vehicles belonging to members or guests whilst they are on the BWFAC grounds, or on the access to the BWFAC grounds.
10. All vehicles must be parked in the designated parking area(s). In the interest of good relations with our neighbours, parking is not permitted on any of the tracks or public highways leading to the club.
11. All members under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst shooting. No members under 16 years of age will be permitted to carry/use a knife or other sharp implement whilst on BWFAC grounds unless a letter of permission is received from the parent or guardian absolving BWFAC of all responsibility should an accident occur.
12. Under no circumstances will anybody attending BWFAC shoot at any object or target outside of BWFAC boundaries.
13. NO CROSSBOWS. We regret that no crossbows are permitted on BWFAC grounds.
14. NO DOGS. We regret no dogs are permitted on BWFAC grounds.
15. NO ALCOHOL or other intoxicating substances may be consumed on BWFAC grounds. Members not complying will be subject to section (7).
16. SMOKING. Due care must be taken at all times, and all matches/cigarettes etc fully extinguished. In addition, for safety reasons it may be necessary for specific areas of the woodland to be designated as "No Smoking" areas during dry weather. Members not complying will be subject to section (7 ).
17. FIRES/BARBEQUES. No Fires or Barbecues may be lit on BWFAC grounds, except in area(s) designated by the Committee. Any such fires/barbecues must be attended at all times whilst lit, and must be fully extinguished before departure. Members not complying will be subject to section (7).
18. Wilful damage or littering will be dealt with as at section (7).
19. Members or guests found removing any item of BWFAC equipment without proper consent from a recognised committee member will be subject to the imposition of section (7).
20. Open shoots will be run in accordance with NFAS rules and regulations, and supplemented by BWFAC rules, regulations and guidelines set out for the day.
21. The Committee reserves the right to alter, amend or update the BWFAC Rules without prior consultation of the membership, though any such amendments will be placed before the membership by no later than the next AGM.

It is a UK Legal Requirement that all bows are unstrung (except compounds) and are secured within their carrying case or bag when being carried along any Public Highway/Footpath or recognised gathering area.
It is illegal in the UK to use bows for hunting any wildlife, including ‘vermin’.
In both cases, offenders are liable to prosecution under UK law.
