How to Join Us

If you are a competent archer

If you already shoot, whether NFAS, GNAS etc, just contact the club secretary who will arrange with you a suitable date to come to the club, with your own equipment, and shoot with one of our coaches - if they are happy that you are a competent / safe archer, you may join the club, (NB.joining NFAS is mandatory for club membership).

If you wish to learn

The club has NFAS coaches who can teach you. Once training is complete, you will need to purchase your own equipment - we can advise you as to what you need to buy, as we have members shooting most classes of bow. The cost of a basic set of archery equipment starts at about £120.00 (though, like most sports, you can spend much more if you wish).

So how much does it cost? We  run regular training courses (Approximately every 2 months). Each consists of 5 lessons for £40 (adults) / £35 (under 16s), plus £2.50 for each broken / lost arrow. If after the first lesson, you decide archery is not for you we will only charge you for one lesson (£6/£5) - Please contact our club secretary for details.

Contacting the Club

The Club shoots at Beacon Hill, Chattenden, near Rochester, Kent. However, please DO NOT turn up at the wood 'on spec' as we keep the gates locked at all times. Also, due to the nature of the sport, you might have to wait quite a while before someone gets back to the entrance.

The most effective way is to phone the secretary (Martyn Bould) - 01634 400026 Mobile 07843 624625
